| Hi all, i'm so impressed with this website, it has prooved that a difference can be made. it is people like Bobby that makes a difference in other peoples lives. i always say that when one awakes in the morning, in the mirror is where you can change other peoples lives, by starting with yourself and saying that ubuntu starts with u. |

| Hey! I must say that before trying to bring the peace to the rest of the world, we must bring to ourselves by resolving pent up emotions, anger and resentments. We need to be our best friend by nurturing ourselves with mindful positive thoughts. One small act of kindness per day will make each one of us a better person, subsequently making the world a better place. I try to yield at least one driver everyday during the traffic hour and if some other driver cuts me sharply I simply say "God bless you" rather than being angry. This way I do not lose my emotional equilibrium, it has taken me a long time to practice this act. |

| Shirley, I agree with you. It's imperative that we take a holistic approach to health; and be mindful of our thoughts, words and action. Let's also spread the global movement towards non-violence by taking The Vow. Encourage friends and family to visit the website: www.Itakethevow.com |

| hey bobby, before we can do much about bringing about the peace we all crave, we have to stop spending a fortune in gyms exercising only our bodies.... we have to start exercising our minds... through meditation, mindfulness and basic human compassion.... ie. mind yoga if practised universally would certainly change a lot of 'mind attitudes'

| Thank you for your comments, Ray. Taking a vow of non-violence in our thoughts, speech, and actions, motivates us to be constantly aware of our subconscious beliefs, as well as our thoughts and feelings. | I was impressed by Deepaks vow of non-violence and his responses to some of the queries that people had. I believe his comment that it is not our feelings (e.g. anger) which are bad but how we express them, which is the crucial point. Our emotions have evolved over aeons to aid survival and in my view must be thought of as miraculous parts of our humanity and the emotional analogue of physical pain: i.e. just as pain signals physical problems, feelings like anger/aggression signal that we are being threatened. My own vow of non-violence is to manage my aggression (signalling a perceived threat) in such a way as to stay connected to the 'other', because I believe the 'other' is a part of me and important to my fulfilment - i.e. uBuntu. |
